Whew!  It’s been a busy couple of weeks.  What’s been going on with you?

Ruth at Sirona Springs shows off her faux funnel pour.  I love the colors.

Ruth is a teacher at The Nova Studio.  You can also find her teaching at the HSMG Conference this year in Portland.  Go Ruth!

Amy over at Great Cakes Soapworks has a fabulous video up on how to line a mold.  That is probably one of the questions I get asked most to explain.  So now…I’ll just send them to Amy!  Thanks, Amy!

And oh Tenth Avenue Soapworks…I’m with you on the soap curls.  I thought I was soap curl challenged until I changed utensils as well.   These are looking good!

Okay…I’ve soaped just about everything.  But never eggs!  Emily at Soap and Restless shares with us her lather results from soaping with eggs and bentonite clay.  She compares the two.

Jess at Sweet Pine Soaps shows us how to create some cute note cards using feathers!  How cute are these!?!

And totally not soap related…I’ve been wanting to make apple butter for a couple of years and just haven’t gotten around to doing it.  I make apple sauce so it’s as simple as throwing it into the crock pot!  Amber’s Ambry has a nice little tutorial up right now.  I didn’t realize it was that easy!

I’m a big fan of using natural colorants in soap making.  Check out my series here

So I love this soap from Midlife Farmwife!  It’s colored with Orange peel powder, Maddor root powder and Indigo powder.  I love the layers!

 Have a good weekend!

Amanda
