I’m sitting here holding a bar of soap in my hand just mesmerized by it. As I turn it over in my hand or rotate it- it seems as if I’m looking at it for the first time all over again. Each time I view it…it’s new. And it’s beautiful. And it makes a big grin spread across my face. This is the real deal. These soaps were made by a true artist.
These were sent to me from Margie Lemmons of Hill Country Haiku.
Moroccan Mint
Jolt
Wavy Gravy
Lone Star Limited – Demo soap from the Lone Star Gathering
She sent along two of the Wavy Gravy and Lone Star Limited. So I’m going to pay those forward along with some other soaping goodies (a surprise)! Visit her site, come back here, leave a comment and let me know which soap you liked the best (and why) from her beautiful lineup. We’ll draw a winner on Mon, August 15.

That is a very tough choice to make, she has such a selection!! I really liked the gold swirl in the leather soap!! Great products!!
Oh these soaps are all truly lovely, the choice is difficult.
Tuscan Patchouly is my very favorite! Of course the fragrance is somewhat known in this bar. Yum.
The bar has a very luxurious quality to it’s look. I love soaps that reveal new lines, stories or designs and color as you use them. It makes my shower or bath a meditation of fragrance, color and form as it transports one.
Thank you for introducing me to Hill Country Haiku. Just lovely!
Every soap I looked at I said “that’s my favorite” they are all so beautiful. The one I’m stuck on is
Oh My Darlin’ Clementine. The colors were stunning I could smell the citrus just by looking at the picture!
Thanks for sharing the link!
My favorite picture is the middle pink one in the navigation bar, but that one isn’t currently listed on the website so I went with:
Oh My Darlin’ Clementine Soap because its looks yummy and I LOVE citrus scented bath products.
I loved all of her soaps-she is so artistic!!! I would be proud to have any one of them but I think I would choose High Tide. She really has talent for sure!!!
Jesus, Amanda, it doesn’t get more difficult than this! Lol.
So many beautiful colors, amazing swirls, each and one of them is a small piece of art, especially the High Tide made me dream of my home city and lazy walks by the sea…
But if I have to choose only one, then it’s definitely Moroccan Mint.
Moroccan Mint tea is my favorite of all times, (I could even quit coffee for it) and it instantly reminded me of my first trip to Morocco some years back, when exhausted from the long journey and in the middle of August heat, I stopped in Jemaa el Fna Square in Marrakech and enjoyed my very first Moroccan mint tea… Even the name brings back so many wonderful memories, I wish I could smell it too!
I think I’m gonna make myself some Moroccan Mint tea right now and try some swirls later 🙂
Inspiring that’s for sure!
oooh! i have to say the “High Tides” is calling me….i want to get lost in those swirls!
It’s so hard to pick just one….but I keep going back to Lucenbach Lavender. The color is what attracts me and of course, lavender is a classic. But then I am curious about what Jolt is all about too. So glad you let us all know about this wonderful soap artist.
Just amazing swirls and I agree it’s hard to choose, but I have to pick Moroccan Mint. Chocolate mint is my favorite and she does that scent justice with her awesome swirls!
I LOVE how she did her Oatmeal, Milk, & Honey bars!! I find a lot of soapers all make their Oatmeal bars look like a standard bar with oatmeal, where hers actually looks artistic and creative which sets it apart from every other soap!
Beautiful soaps, but I especially love the bright citrus colors of Oh My Darlin’ Clementine. (Now I’ve got that old timey song in my head!) I liked her facebook page and have been checking out all the column swirl photos. Wonderful!
I think my personal fav would be jolt. Second would be high tide and third would be oh my darlin’ Clementine. They are all lovely though. It would be so nice to be able to smell them all too.
They are all just beautiful! My first choice would be High Five, but since they are two beautiful to pick just one, I would have add New Mexico Rain as a second. Inspiring for sure!
Wait, I’m only allowed to pick one? Had to make it difficult, hmm? Lol. The swirls in High Tide are just gorgeous and I’m a sucker for a pretty swirl. The jojoba beads were a lovely touch and just seem to pull the whole thing together. The fragrance blend sounds just as lovely as the soap looks. They’re all do pretty, but High Tide was definitely inspiring. I think I’m going to go practice some swirling now…
Oh my goodness! She has some beautiful soaps!
Initially, I liked Chiara because it looks elegant and simple (besides, I’m a pushover for lavender!) However, I think my ultimate favorite is the Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey because I love the texture.
Again, she has some gorgeous soaps!
I have to go with the Oatmeal Milk and Honey. I know there are no swirls, added colorants, or a fragrance that’s screaming, “buy me”…. but do you see the complexity and beauty of the design on that soap?!!! That’s the beauty of simplicity at it’s absolute best! That had to take a steady hand a patient person and a soap of the perfect consistency. Absolutely gorgeous!
I really like the “HIGH TIDE” soap, living by the pacific ocean it looks cool and refreshing with lavender, rosemary and lemongrass the perfect soap for a summers day. I am currently using Ocean water for my RTCP soap, but
I love the look that she gave this soap very orginal.
I can’t decide between Jolt, I am just super curious to know what that smells like, or Lemon Verbena. I love all things lemon for some reason. But since we have to pick just one I think I would go with Jolt. The description of that one really interested me along with it saying that the scent has champagne bubbles that will tickle my nose. How fun!
I just checked them out and I have to agree with the comment – how hard is it to choose just one?? Put if you force me to, I’ve picked High Tide… incredible swirls, I mean WOW levels of incredible and I just adore the sound of it. I have a real affinity for the sea, it means peace and happiness for me and any ocean bases soaps get my vote… this one more than anything!!!
I’d have to say the New Mexico Rain. I love the way the colors swirled! They’re so pretty and bright. And yet another Sandalwood blend soap that I’d buy in a hot minute! We just love Sandalwood in this house lol I’d almost gone for Leather, not for the scent but for the gorgeous, shimmering swirls that catch the light.
Aahhh!! The swirls are divine. I love, love, love the “Oh my Darlin’ Clementine”. The colors and swirls are perfect for that scent. What an inspiration…!
The Wavy Gravy! Perfect name for those colors and swirls. The woman is a swirl master!
Pick me! Pick me!
What a situation to be put in! To choose only ONE! Every soap there is a truly unique item with a character all its own. I have fallen in serious love with all the colors and the swirls! Just because I have to choose one, I will go with Oatmeal, Milk & Honey. It is a classic scent and the geometric lines on the top are mesmerizing! I would love to just hold it in my hands, turning it over and over 🙂 I may have found a new addiction! 🙂
I had to go with “Jolt” – the colors are amazing and my eyes kept going back to it. I’m super curious about what it must smell like. Very hard to choose, they’re all so beautiful.
