Today I had two teaching events! I taught an intro to CP soap at Taylored Concepts and then had a soap party event with Kelly and her friends.
In the cold process soap class at Taylored Concepts each person makes a two pound batch of soap. They did an awesome job!
Then I headed over to Kelly’s for a soap party! It was a blast. Each person got to make a two pound batch of soap which we molded with a pvc.
how do you unmold from pvc?i was using pvsand had hard time to unmold the soap
Hi there –
I wait about 24 hours to unmold. I then take a wad of paper towels to cover one end of the soaps surface and use a cup bottom to press the soap out. This usually works. If it is sticky (maybe it didn’t gel)…then I will put in the freezer for about 30 minutes, set it on the counter for 10 minutes or so and try again. It also helps to drop it on the end on concrete to help jar it out.
You can also line pvc but I usually don’t.
Thanks, Celine. Pvc makes the perfect 3″ round bars. It’s probably my favorite and cheapest mold!
Looks like you had a huge fun but what a tiring day!
Love the PVC tubes you have, are they moulds? Would love to see the demoulded pics too!
Oh and love the re-designed blog too!
