I joined saponification nation’s group to learn about soap. I just realised that the finished products is what I see most time. Please I want to learn soap making, I need help, I need mentoring. Please come to my aid.
Thank you

Somehow I didn’t hear about the swap.
Beautiful soaps. Will you be doing this again? I love all of your ideas and articles!
I have had soap that was hard ( 4-6 weeks drying time) but when shrinkwrapped turned extremely soft inside of it. Thumb poking soft. What went wrong? i love shrinkwrapping soaps and am now worried to continue with
this soap packaging. My soaps are very visual so I do’nt want to hide that part behind a box etc. I really would appreciate your expertise.
Hi Susan! I’m not really sure. Was your shrink wrap breathable? Perhaps it got moisture in it that made the soap mushy?
Love these ideas…they’re beautiful, however, with shrink wrap you can’t smell the amazing scents or get the full effect; and the soap cannot breathe.
Hi Anna! You can get breathable shrink wrap for CP soap. Also, if you do shows and such, perhaps you could leave a bar out, unwrapped for people to feel and smell? I love that the shrink wrap protects the soap, especially in retail stores.
The labels are beautiful and inspiring but so many of the soaps are shrink wrapped. People can’t smell the soaps! And people smelling my soap at farmer’s markets is a main selling point.
Hi Wallis, I’ve seen many soapmakers that sell soap shrinkwrapped at the farmers market, but they leave a naked soap out for customers to smell and touch. You are correct; that is very important for customers to see and smell the soap.
